Description

Gain an intermediate level of knowledge and learn how to use Xero Accounting to manage your own business accounts or your client’s accounts. This course will set you up with a strong understanding and practical knowledge of Xero to advance your business or career. You will also be able to ask work related questions and we shall provide you practical solution where possible. There are 3 levels of training;
  • Bespoke Training- Tailored as per your specific requirements and applied on your business data or carefully designed accounting data addressing all required areas
  • Group Training- Formal training covering key areas of bookkeeping and maximum 5 delegates per sessions
  • Follow-up  Once you completed training or already have prior knowledge of software and needed help with queries or issues you might be facing while using software

Key areas of training;

  1. Introduction of Xero accounting software
  2. Navigate in different modules
  3. Setting up business, default settings and templates
  4. Chart of accounts and adding new nominal accounts
  5. Creating customers, suppliers, products and services
  6. Raising customer invoices and posting supplier bills/ purchases invoices
  7. Editing or deleting invoices or bills
  8. Dealing with customer credit notes and supplier credits
  9. Creating bank accounts and enabling bank feeds/ manual uploading bank statements
  10. Recording bank transactions e.g. customer receipts, supplier payments, bank receipts, bank payments etc
  11. Credit card and petty cash expenses
  12. Bank reconciliation and fixing errors
  13. Month/ period end journals e.g. payroll, depreciation, accruals, prepayments, bad debts write-off, provision for doubtful debts
  14. VAT return and Making tax digital (MTD) compliance
  15. Fixing mistakes after VAT reconciled and submitted to HMRC
  16. Preparing and filing CIS return (if applicable)
  17. Generating accounting reports for management or external accountants e.g. P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statements, agent debtors, aged creditors, trial balance etc
